We are in the Home Stretch!

CAST NOTES!

Showtime is approaching! We are so excited. Here are some final notes to help you be ready. We will be receiving costumes this Friday. If your Student had pieces made for them there may be a price attached. See the bottom to see how much your student owes. They must pay this in order to receive their costume Friday. When they received their costumes they are now fully responsible for them. Please have them wear their costume to school Wednesday November 14th. They will check in with her teacher and then head up to the stage to get ready for the assembly. have them bring a bag and a change of clothes so they can change for the rest of school and get their costume home safely that night. Some students like to bring a basket or a bag. These things would be great for other costume items.

FLATWARE $20
SILLY GIRLS $23
WOLVES $8

Call time for the evening performances is 5 p.m. Students should come in costume with basic makeup on. The shows begin at 6 p.m.
Call time for the Friday matinee is 1:15. They will need to bring their costumes to school this day. After school they can quickly change and be ready for the show at 2 p.m.

During the show students will be in room 101. Please talk to your student about being respectful of the teachers room as it is a privilege for us to use it. There will be no eating or drinking in the room they may have water in the hall. Please no eating in costume. Cast members are encouraged to bring something quiet to do or quiet games to play while waiting for their turn to head to the stage.

CAST PICTURES
We will be taking cast pictures Thursday November 15th starting at 5pm. Please be on time and ready! Thank you to Molly Poore for taking these pictures for us. They will be put into a google album and a link will be on the blog.

Videography
We were able to buy the video and photography rights to this show! Denny Guymon will be recording it for us, THANK YOU!, it will be available for purchase. More details to come.

TSHIRTS
If you missed out on ordering t-shirts and would like one, please fill out an order form at the concessions table.  If we have enough orders to meet the minimum order requirements, we will place an order. Do not pay or leave money, we will collect funds only if an order is placed.  Cast t-shirts were $10, hoodies were $20.

TICKETS
You and your friends can purchase tickets online up until 30 minutes before the show begins.  After that time, you may purchase tickets at the door. If you still need to purchase tickets, we have learned that purchasing tickets on a desktop computer provides the most reliable service.  All functions of the website work well in this format.

MAKEUP
All performers need to have basic stage makeup applied before coming to dress rehearsals and performances.  Take some time to teach your performer how to apply makeup, this way he/she can take care of his/her self for dress rehearsals and maybe then feel confident enough for performances.  Create a bag for your performer’s makeup to keep with his/her costume.

Basic stage makeup includes the following (boys and girls):
Foundation and powder, Blush, Eyeliner and mascara, Lipstick

We do not have people available to apply makeup for the full cast.  We have many roles that require extensive makeup, and our makeup staff will need to attend to these performers.  Unless told otherwise, leads also need to come with basic makeup applied.

HAIR
Please find the instructions for hair below (by role):
Villagers:
Silly Girls will have half up half down with ribbon bow.  Please curl hair.
All other girls in villager chorus will have up dos.
Lady with Cane will have a bun.
Aristocratic Lady will have up do and a hat.
Be Our Guest Chorus: tight, low, bun.
Wolves: Girls wear low ponytail. Boys have messy hair.
Narrators: Long curls pulled up halfway.
Enchantress: Long curls hidden under hood and then loose.
Belle: Low ponytail curled and Frenchie twist away from face-as in the movie with a blue bow and then yellow bow
Maurice: spikey powdered gray.
Gaston: pompadour.
Le Fou: slicked back.
Madame: wig
Plumetter, Fifi, Babbette:  curled up do

Tickets!!!

We are excited to try online ticketing this year, combined with assigned seating. However, we are also terrified that it will not go well.  We hope this information will help you have the best experience possible with our new plan.
Tickets will go on sale Monday, November 5th at 6:00PM.
INSTRUCTIONS
   Go to the following website

Choose the show time you wish to attend and click GET TICKETS.

For most devices, you have two options from the next screen.  On the left, you can select the section you wish to be placed in from a drop down menu.  On the right, you can select “Choose Your Own Seats”.  “Choose Your Own Seats” is the best option if you want to be able to specify where you want to sit.  Look carefully for this option.

Different devices have different capabilities with the website.  Some devices cannot select seats individually and seats will be selected for you based on what is still available (seats are prioritized front to back with preference to the middle aisle).  Most browsers for desktop computers have the capability to self-select seats, so order tickets from a desktop if this is important to you. A map of the auditorium will be on the site to help you determine which section to choose if you can select a section, but you are unable to select a seat.

Wheelchair accessible seats are available.  If this is your need, please look for these sections.  Please leave these seats available for our patrons who need accommodation, unless no other seat is available.  The larger cost for wheelchair seats covers the three chairs next to the wheelchair seat.  This ticket allows up to four to enter.

Your printed ticket will allow you entrance into the show, so you must PRINT and present your ticket at the door.

Thank you for your patience as we are learning this new system for ticketing. Remember to share this link with your friends and family so they can come enjoy our show!

Hi everyone! Auditions are coming up and we wanted to provide a few resources for you. All of these resources can be found here on the blog.(crestviewperformance.blogspot.com) If you haven’t taken a moment to subscribe to the blog, please do now. This is the best way to assure you have the information you need as the show moves forward. The right column of the blog has important links for your use (we’ve provided them here too).

Audition Packet - If your child has lost the packet printed from the school, all of the pages of the packet can be accessed here. Parents must sign and return the contract portion of the
packet in order for their student to audition.

·  Audition Tracks - We have provided MP3s of each of the songs for auditions to help your child
prepare.

·  Student Information Survey (CAST) - This is the form we need you to fill out so we have all of
the necessary information about your child for the production. Grab a tape measure and your child so you can begin to fill this form out.

Here’s your steps to a successful audition:

  • Mark your calendar for audition dates.  Choose the date that works best for you.  Auditions
begin shortly after school dismisses.  (Make a plan for getting home; students will be able to call once they are finished.)

    • Tuesday, September 4th
or
    • Wednesday, September 5th

  • Prepare ONE monologue and ONE song from those provided in the packet.  Do your best to memorize the monologue and music--the more prepared you are, the more confident you will feel!

  • Bring your signed cast member contract with you on the day of your audition.

  • HAVE FUN!  We know you will do a great job!  When you audition, you will enter alone and perform your monologue and song for our Directors, Steph Strasser, Jacci Halliday & Lexi Bingham.  It’s fast and friendly...so don’t stress!
