Hi everyone! Auditions are coming up and we wanted to provide a few resources for you. All of these resources can be found here on the blog.(crestviewperformance.blogspot.com) If you haven’t taken a moment to subscribe to the blog, please do now. This is the best way to assure you have the information you need as the show moves forward. The right column of the blog has important links for your use (we’ve provided them here too).

Audition Packet - If your child has lost the packet printed from the school, all of the pages of the packet can be accessed here. Parents must sign and return the contract portion of the
packet in order for their student to audition.

·  Audition Tracks - We have provided MP3s of each of the songs for auditions to help your child
prepare.

·  Student Information Survey (CAST) - This is the form we need you to fill out so we have all of
the necessary information about your child for the production. Grab a tape measure and your child so you can begin to fill this form out.

Here’s your steps to a successful audition:

  • Mark your calendar for audition dates.  Choose the date that works best for you.  Auditions
begin shortly after school dismisses.  (Make a plan for getting home; students will be able to call once they are finished.)

    • Tuesday, September 4th
or
    • Wednesday, September 5th

  • Prepare ONE monologue and ONE song from those provided in the packet.  Do your best to memorize the monologue and music--the more prepared you are, the more confident you will feel!

  • Bring your signed cast member contract with you on the day of your audition.

  • HAVE FUN!  We know you will do a great job!  When you audition, you will enter alone and perform your monologue and song for our Directors, Steph Strasser, Jacci Halliday & Lexi Bingham.  It’s fast and friendly...so don’t stress!

It's show time!!!

Hey parents!
It is show week! Here is the list of what will happen each day. The doors open 30 minutes before show time. Reserved tickets will start coming home tomorrow. Tickets will also available at the door until they sell-out. Oompa Loopma's will receive their costumes tomorrow, (Monday)

Monday & Tuesday- Please send your child with their costume Monday and Tuesday for Dress rehearsals. We will be doing full run throughs both day with lighting and tech and not stopping. So everyone needs to be there ready to work and give their best! They are welcome to bring homework or a book or quiet game to play. They will be finished at 5pm

Wednesday- They need to bring their costume Wednesday for the school assembly that afternoon. We have moms ready to help apply make-up for this performance. This show is for the students only. They will be dismissed with school and need to be back at 5pm in costume and make-up for call time. The show starts at 6pm!

Thursday- there is no rehearsal, just the 5pm call time in costume and make-up

Friday- they will need to bring their costumes again. The matinee will be at 2pm. They will be dismissed from school and need to get their costumes on and makeup done asap. They will need to report to the stage at 1:30.

They will then need to be back to school at 5pm for call time for the closing night show.

We are so proud of all the time and work they have put into this show. The kids are so excited to perform for you all! Thanks for your support!

~Steph Strasser
